Xbox has announced a new, free game development tutorial called Xbox Academy. Xbox Academy will be releasing later this month and will inspire the next generation of video game creators. These virtual workshops provided by Microsoft will help smaller businesses and communities through learning and technologies.
East London Arts and Music, Games London, as well as Playground Games, will be the companies running the virtual workshops. These workshops will show off the fundamentals of game design. Access and tutorials to developer tools like Unity will also be accessible. There will also be an overview of how Playground Games designed titles like Forza Horizon.
Access to these workshops is limited, so head over to the official website to register for one of the four workshops. These workshops will be available between the 12th and 13th of September. Participants need to be at least 16 years of age to access the program. What are your thoughts on Microsoft opening up development tools to the public?
