Game director, Konrad Tomaszkiewicz had told Eurogamer that Blood and Wine will be the final expansion for Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. CD Project isn’t just walking away from The Witcher 3 though. Tomaszkiewicz had stated that developers will continue to release patches to fix bugs in the main game and the expansions as well. Tomaszkiewicz was also asked by Eurogamer if players will see CD Project Red release the “Redkit” modding tools for Witcher 3. He had stated, “I don’t have such information to be honest. We want to support our community and I hope we will do something.”
Last year CD Project Red had released modding tools for the PC version of Witcher 3: Wild Hint in the form of a Modkit. These tools allowed players to modify the game in many different ways. These modding tools obviously weren’t enough for fans of the game that were hoping to get a new version of CD Project Red’s Redkit. Redkit is a more diverse mod tools package that is currently available for The Witcher 2: Assassin of Kings. We will just have to wait and see if Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will ever get Redkit modding tools.
The 30-hour expansion Blood and Wine will arrive on May 31, 2016 for Xbox One, PS4, and PC.
