A trailer has emerged that finally gives Tekken 7 a release date. The trailer shows a brief history of the Mishima feud, before moving into some fight scenes between characters of the game, including Street Fighter’s Akuma. The description of the video reads:
“Tekken 7 represents the final chapter of the 20-year-long Mishima feud. Experience the epic showdown to the emotionally charged family warfare between the members of the Mishima Clan as they struggle to settle old scores and wrestle for control of a global empire. The 7th King of the Iron Fist Tournament has begun and the world now hangs in the balance!”
Tekken 7 will release 2nd June with a few editions. The standard edition comes with just the game. The deluxe edition, reported to cost $75, comes with two more playable characters, and 30 metallic costumes. There is also a unique game mode and special characters only available to the deluxe edition. Then there’s the collector’s edition. This comes with; the deluxe edition of the game, steelbook case, the Tekken 7 soundtrack and a 30cm by 45cm figurine of Kazuya and Heihachi mid-fight. This will reportedly cost $149.99.
In addition to this, Tekken Funko Pop figures have been revealed. There is currently no release date for the figures (just 2017), or pricing. It’s unknown if these figures will release when Tekken 7 releases, but I personally would assume it will be around that time.
