Blitzworks and Team Meat have announced that the long-awaited and incredibly frustrating platformer Super Meat Boy is heading to Nintendo eShop on May 12th. Super Meat Boy for Wii U will support off-screen play and be compatible with the Wii U Pro Controller. Fans of the game have been waiting a while for this port, with the expected Blizworks quality and smoothness of the port it will be a nice gift to all the fans. Super Meat Boy will also be on sale for the first two weeks of its release giving people a chance to pick up this acclaimed platformer for a good deal.
The game will also have its own Miiverse community, so players can show off their skills to people around the world, share images and drawings, and even give helpful advice to anyway who is stuck on a certain part of the game.
Super Meat Boy originally launched in 2010 for the Xbox 360 and the PC. Players had immediately labeled this game under the brutally difficult platformer, but that didn’t stop people from continuing to enjoy and play this game. Since then people have been waiting for this game to branch out to other platforms. It was finally released on the PS4 and Vita last year, and with the Wii U version arriving this month who knows what the next platform SMB will release on.
