Sony Pictures have announced that Shawn Levy, executive producer and director of the Netflix hit series Stranger Things, will be directing the Uncharted movie. The movie has had a rocky road so far with many members of the team, including directors, walking away from the project. Filming was due to start in 2015, but due to the continuous staff walkouts this never happened.

Not much more is known about the movie, but fans will surely be enthusiastically awaiting the reveal of the actor who will be playing the series protagonist Nathan Drake. Drake, who is voiced by video game voice acting legend Nolan North, is the main character of the series and will be the hardest to cast. Fans are very much used to North’s voice and so may automatically disregard anyone who doesn’t match what the fans have become used to.

What do you guys think about this news? Do we need an Uncharted movie? Will any actor be able to come close to North’s depiction of Nathan Drake? Let us know in the comments!
