Quantum Break is to get new PC versions and fans will be pleased to know that Windows 10 will not be a requirement. When the game was released earlier in the year, the requirement left some gamers a little peeved but the Quantum Break Steam page has confirmed this is no longer the case.
Developer Remedy confirmed on Twitter that Quantum Break will work as long as you are running Windows 7 or later and have a 64-bit version of your OS.

Fans were left slightly baffled by the original launch as Quantum Break was only sold through the Windows Store and via Xbox One which gave the game a limited audience. As it was new IP, it seemed like a risky strategy, despite the addition of it being an ‘Xbox play anywhere’ title which allowed one digital purchase to be played on both platforms. The launch was also hurt by PC owners reporting a messy launch with game breaking issues and an unstable frame rate.
Hopefully this new release will allow a wider audience to enjoy the game and it will have less issues this time around.
