Bloomberg have posted a series of graphs, created by Apptopia, that show a major decrease in the number of daily users on Pokemon GO. The graphs also shows a reduction in the level of engagement of those who are still actively using the app.
As you can see from the graph above engagement with Pokemon Go has dramatically decreased since August 7th. The graph shows that player engagement dropped by roughly 50% in the space of just 10 days. Active daily users have also dropped from roughly 45,000 to roughly 30,000 in the space of a month. This doesn’t look good for Niantic. It seems as if the game has already reached it’s peak player count, as well as it’s peak interest. This could be due to the experience of Pokemon Go slowly dying off over time. But it may also be due to the various issues the app has seen, such as those regarding it’s 3 step glitch that made it almost impossible to catch a Pokemon in the app.
Is this the beginning of the end of the ever popular app? Are you still playing Pokemon Go? Are you enjoying it? Let us know in the comments below.
