As you may have seen in our BAFTA piece, Pokemon GO won the BAFTA for Best Mobile game. Niantic have since responded to the award, thanking their fanbase for the award. In a post on the Niantic Labs website the Niantic team wrote:

“We owe the continued momentum and recognition to the dedicated players exploring the world and creating adventures together in Pokémon GO. Each and every award Pokémon GO has won is a testament to the game’s awesome and supportive community. … We continue to be inspired by the passion of the 65+ million people from around the world playing Pokémon GO each month. We’re still at the beginning of the journey and there’s a lot more to come. With spring arriving in the northern hemisphere, players can look forward to all new cooperative social gameplay experiences in Pokémon GO that will give Trainers new and exciting reasons to get back into the sunshine.”

As you can see towards the end of the post the team hint at what is in store for the game in the future, stating that “new cooperative social gameplay experiences” are coming. Hopefully this is the much sought after player trading system. The post also includes a list of awards that were won, as well as thanks from the team at Niantic for the fact that Pokemon GO has even won these awards. The awards listed include GameSpot’s Best Mobile Game Of The Year, SXSW Gaming Awards’ Mobile Game Of The Year and TechCrunch’s Crunchies’ Best App Of The Year.
