According to a report posted by Eurogamer, Sony’s PlayStation Neo could see a release later this year. If this is the case it could see a release an entire year before the release of it’s rival; Project Scorpio by Xbox.
The report states:
“Several sources have indicated to me that PlayStation Neo launches this year, despite its E3 no-show”
Both the PlayStation Neo and Project Scorpio are slated to support gaming in 4k. Not much is known about the Neo, but we know that Project Scorpio will have 6 teraflops of processing power, while majorly outshines PlayStation Neo’s 4.2 terfaflops. What this equates to is a deeper and richer gaming experience, with Xbox claiming it to be “true 4k gaming”. However, if fans will jump on this 4K remains to be seen.
Personally I don’t own a 4k TV, and I can’t justify spending the high amount of money I know these consoles will cost. Are you guys excited for 4k gaming? Will you be grabbing a Neo or Scorpio when they drop? Let us know in the comments below!
