Marvel’s Spiderman: Miles Morales

Revealed during Sony’s last PS5 showcase, Marvel’s Spiderman: Miles Morales showed up with a beautiful new gameplay trailer. This early gameplay featured Miles Morales dealing with threats in his home town of Harlem. We also found out that this game will be taking place one year after the events of Marvel’s Spiderman. No official release date was given except for Holiday 2020.

Demon Souls Remake

Like Spiderman Miles Morales, the Demon Souls Remake was also revealed at Sony’s last PS5 showcase. We finally got to see some gameplay of this remarkably dark and eerie world completely in new detail. The gameplay footage was mostly from introductory areas of the classic RPG.

Final Fantasy 16

Square-Enix kicked off the showcase with the first reveal trailer of Final Fantasy 16, the latest entry in the long running franchise. This games setting and theme seem to align more with traditional fantastical ideas similar to early entries. Final Fantasy 16 will also be a Sony exclusive. It is not yet confirmed if this will be just a PS5 exclusive though, just Sony exclusive.

Hogwarts Legacy

Being rumored for what feels like years, Avalanche Studios Harry Potter game, Hogwarts Legacy, has been officially revealed. This upcoming game will be an RPG that takes place in the world of Harry Potter during the 1800’s. The trailer shows off section of Hogwarts, but it looks like the player will be able to adventure throughout the world of Harry Potter. Avalanche Studios makes incredible open-world games, so it would be amazing to see this game follow suit. Hogwarts Legacy is slated for release in 2021.

God of War Sequel

At the end of the presentation, Sony revealed that the next entry in the God of War franchise will be coming next year. Developed again by Sony Santa Monica Studios, this teaser trailer featured Kratos voice as well as the text Ragnarok is coming.
