The NES is returning. This is not a joke. The Nintendo Entertainment System: NES Classic Edition is a mini replica of Nintendo’s original console that sports a HDMI cable to connect to your TV. The NES Classic Edition will launch November 11th and has a recommended retail price of $59.99. That money gets you the NES Classic Edition, an AC adapter and one NES Classic Controller. Nintendo of America’s President Reggie Fils-Aime said in a press release:

“We wanted to give fans of all ages the opportunity to revisit Nintendo’s original system and rediscover why they fell in love with Nintendo in the first place. The Nintendo Entertainment System: NES Classic Edition is ideal for anyone who remembers playing the NES, or who wants to pass on those nostalgic memories to the next generation of gamers.”

You can buy an additional NES Classic controller for $9.99 if you want to play these games with friends. One of the coolest features is the new multiple suspend points features. This means that passwords are no longer needed to continue the game from where you left off. Which is good, have you seen some of those passwords? Tricky lil things.

I personally think this is awesome. Some of the NES games are classics in the world of gaming, and now gamers can relive them. As well as some younger gamers experiencing them for the first time?
