Nintendo have started the next mission in the Global Events for Pokémon Sun/Moon and it is much more achievable than the last one!
The first global event was launched earlier this month and saw players all over the world working together to achieve a common goal. Unfortunately, the goal was a long way off and players had to catch 100 million Pokémon between November 29th and December 13th. The final count was way short of this with players managing to catch a still-impressive 16.5 million critters.
The new goal is much more achievable and requires players to catch or defeat 1 million Pokémon, with one slight catch…. The Pokémon must be discovered using the Island Scan feature. Island scan is a new feature to the series for Pokémon Sun/Moon and allows players to find Pokémon that exist outside of the Alola region Pokédex, although this is only available after earning 100 points from scanning QR codes. For those who want a head start with the QR codes, Gamespot have posted 2 on their website, although you have to have completed the game to gain one of them.
The Second Global Event is running now until the 9th of January.
