New Attack On Titan Trailers

Reading Time: 2 minutes

Koei Tecmo have released 2 Trailers for the upcoming Attack On Titan game as well as outlining the preorder bonuses. The game will be launched on 30th August 2016 and will get a physical release on PS4 and Xbox one and will be available digitally on PS3, PS Vita and Steam. The new trailers and screenshots show the games fast paced gameplay as well as showing the heroes and Titans in action.

For those of you who have missed the phenomenon that is Attack On Titan, it is set in a world in which humanity live in cities surrounded by huge walls to protect them from the Titan, massive naked humanoids that eat humans, seemingly with no reason. The story follows main characters Eren Yeager, his adopted sister Mikasa Ackerman and long-time friend Armin Arlert as they join the military after their home is attacked by Titans. As the story progresses, more about the Titans and their motives are revealed. The Anime and Manga series are hugely popular and have also spawned a live action movie.

As you can see from the trailers above, gameplay is fast and frantic keeping with the anime and focuses on the Omni-directional Mobility Gear which is used to propel the character around at great speed. Players will use this equipment to speed around the titans fighting with blades in an attempt to remove the limbs and hit the weak point at the back of the Titan’s necks. The player will have to keep track of the gas levels and make sure blades are replaced while fighting. Player will not be alone in combat as up to four non-playable characters can be recruited to help and once on board, can be directed in battle to add some strategy to combat.

The preorder bonuses are available for those who order from Amazon, Best Buy, EB Canada and GameStop and will consist of the Cleaner’s weapon and costume for Eren and Levi as well as Mikasa’s festival costume as you can see above. Attack On Titan avatars are also available for PlayStation network for those who order online from the PlayStation store.
