Nintendo’s classic racing game makes its way into Wii U’s Virtual Console today.

While in Europe it was already available since January, the US shop is getting it just now with a $9.99 price tag.

On a related note, Destructoid reported this version doesn’t support N64 Controller Paks or Ghost Data saving, but the lack of this feature will not necessarily spoil your experience. And it does support the Expansion Pak.

The Wii U version of Mario Kart 64 supports up to 4 players with improved courses and is compatible with the Wii U GamePad, Pro Controller and Wii’s Remote Plus and Classic controller.
