Fans of Okami and collectors alike can now preorder a breathtaking lifesize statue/bust of Amaterasu, courtesy of First 4 Figures. The statue stands at a whopping 26.5 inches tall and 16 inches wide…..but also has a price tag to match, selling for $725. First 4 Figures have created a documentary video to showcase the statue which you can see below.
Okami was released in 2006 and follows the Sun Goddess in the form of a white wolf, travelling a gorgeous world in the style of a Japanese ink painting wielding a magic paint brush. Okami has become something of a cult-classic over time with its quirky style and Zelda-like gameplay making its way on to the Playstation Store in HD for PS3.
The bust comes in “deluxe full-colour packaging” and will be available in 2 versions; the exclusive edition will cost $725 (around £560) and will feature LED lights to give the flames surrounding Amaterasu a glow. A non-illuminated version will also go on sale at the slightly cheaper price of $675 (around £520) and both will not be coming until Q1 of 2018…..so expect a wait if you do decide to pre-order!
