Dennaton Games, Abstraction Games, and Developer Digital have released the Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number level editor via Steam Workshop. The level editor will allow players to create single levels as well as full campaigns with custom cut scenes to tell original stories.

If you have never played Hotline Miami, it is a top down shooter set in 1989 known for its extreme violence and surreal storytelling. The sequel is set both before and after the first game, focusing on backstory as well as the aftermath.

The level editor will allow players to customise campaigns floor by floor. Players can place enemies, furnishings, weapons and decorations to create original missions as well as remaking original levels. There are already hundreds of user created levels created in the beta that are ready now and players can upload their creations for others to use. It is unknown whether the level editor will be coming to other platforms or when.
