343 Industries have officially confirmed that there will be no more monthly releases of content for Halo 5. The content came in the form of a blog post on the Halo Waypoint website, which also recapped RTX 2016.
The blog post explains that the Warzone team are continuing work on fixes with Warzone, but they “don’t have a final ETA [estimated time of arrival] just yet”. The post goes on to state that 343 are happy with the increase of Halo 5 players over the past few months.
It’s a little further into the post that 343 make the announcement.
“Speaking of, we’ve seen many inquiries about what’s to come for Halo 5. We’re glad you’re asking. While you won’t be seeing updates every month moving forward, nor updates the size of the Warzone Firefight release, we’re happy to let you know that there’s still more on the way. Things we have yet to talk about or discuss. Things that I have seen, and I think you will like. These and more are in the works, so in short, there is indeed more to come. Rest easy.”
This shouldn’t come as a surprise to fans. It was previously announced that the DLC would be stopping in June 2016. As we can see from the quote above though more content will still be coming, albeit not as large or as often. But it does have me wondering where 343 plan to go from here?
