Industry insider Shinobi602 has claimed that god of War 4 will be announced at E3 this week. For those of you not familiar with Shinobi, he appears to be well connected in the gaming world and has been right about rumours in the past.
Speaking in an interview with Video Game Sophistry (VGS) on YouTube, Shinobi has said that he believes Sony will have a “big coming out party for God of War 4” although he hinted that it may not be called that and may feature a new protagonist. When asked if Kratos would be attending E3, Shinobi responded with, “I don’t know if he’ll be there on-stage but I will say, he is most likely in the game in some shape or form.” Shinobi went on to say that he has friends in the industry which are the sources for his information.
Shinobi mentioned The Last of Us 2 but unfortunately it isn’t the best news, suggesting that Naughty Dog are prototyping the game, though it is unlikely we will hear anything at this year’s E3.
Shinobi gave many more insights and details for upcoming titles and E3 news in the full interview with VGS when you can see above.
This is exciting news but although Shinobi has a good track record for information, these are unconfirmed rumours so you will have to wait a little longer for the official announcements later in the week.
Gamesbulletin will be covering more from E3 when it happens both on the website as well as on YouTube.
