A senior staff member at Gearbox Software, the developers behind Duke Nukem Forever and Borderlands, has teased about an impending announcement on Twitter. Randy Pitchford, a chief executive at Gearbox, mentioned an announcement that will be coming on the 1st December which is the same day as The Game Awards coincidentally.
@Alex_Everatt On December 1st, we are announcing something you might really enjoy 🙂

As you can see from the Tweet above, Pitchford made the comment after a fan Tweeted about “how badass” a Duke Nukem/Gears of War crossover would be. Nothing else is known other than than the cryptic Tweet so it’s a case of waiting and seeing what happens on 1st December.
Gearbox are currently working on another Duke Nukem title which has been teased and will hopefully gain more critical acclaim than Duke Nukem Forever. Pitchford has previously mentioned Duke Nukem, explaining that Forever would not be the only game.
“I did not acquire the franchise merely so we could all experience Duke Nukem Forever. That was the toll to pay to give Duke a chance,”
The announcement could also be about many other titles in the works such as a new Borderlands or the return of the Brothers in Arms series which is yet to get a next gen game.
What game are you hoping the announcement is about? Let us know in the comments section below!
