Leaks. They’re unfortunately a staple of the world of modern gaming, and it seems that No Man’s Sky is the latest victim. Reddit user Daymeeuhn managed to get themself a copy the game, despite the game being due for release August 9th. Daymeeuhn reportedly spent a mindblowing $1250 on the game, as shown in the photo below. Your first thought will most liekly be the same as mine, “Why did they spend so much on it?!”. All I can say is read Daymeeuhn’s Reddit post explaining, it will make sense then.
Daymeeuhn was making videos of No Man’s Sky, after some reluctance, and uploading them to Daily Motion, but this has now stopped. After seeing Sean Murray, founder of Hello Games, react negatively to the videos Daymeeuhn decided enough was enough and stopped making videos.
Take a break from reading about it, and picking vids apart. You can experience for yourself so soon.

Daymeeuhn said this about Murray.
“Obviously developers of a game don’t like that early copies make their way out. But I’ll admit, after watching so many of his interviews and knowing how cool of a guy he seems, it did make me feel a bit guilty. It wasn’t the sole reason for my decision [to stop posting videos], but it was certainly a factor.”
The videos have since been removed but, this being the internet, some users have downloaded the originals and have been reuploading them to sites like Youtube.
I personally don’t blame Daymeeuhn for buying the copy of No Man’s Sky early if they have they the funds to do so. But I personally wouldn’t have uploaded videos to the internet. What do you think of this news? Money being no issue, would you have bought the game early? Let us know in the comments below!
