During today’s Fallout 4 Xbox One livestream on Twitch, Bethesda revealed details about the mods that are coming to the platform. The mods were made on PC using Fallout 4’s Creation Kit and will arrive on May 31st. Three mods coming to Xbox One have been announced, one of which is an alien assault rifle.
When Fallout 4’s Xbox One mods go live, players will be able to log into Bethesda.net in the game and search for the creations they want. There is no news yet though on how many will be available at launch. During the Livestream, Bethesda announced that there will be a size limit of 2GB for the mods you can download and mod sizes will vary. The mods will work by selecting ‘mods’ from the in game menu and linking your Bethesda.net account. You can then download the mods you want but be aware, achievements will be switched off when using them. It was also announced that the game will create a new save when the player uses a mod as a precaution so that if the game crashes for any reason, you are able to revert back to the non-modded save.
It was also announced today that the mods re still on track to come to the PS4 at a later date, which is currently pencilled in for June. For a full list of the mods that are available, visit mods.Bethesda.net.
