Sony have announced the existence of a virtual reality version of the racing game Driveclub. The game is said to feature a first person cockpit view and 3D audio. But there is a catch. Driveclub VR is currently only slated for release in Japan. The news came via a blog post on PlayStation’s Japanese blog, but the page is currently not working. No word as to whether this VR game will come to other countries or not.
Driveclub former director Paul Rustchynsky tweeted out saying that there are new tracks coming on the game, but did not provide any further details.
There is a collection of brand new tracks. Not sure I can comment on development yet – I'll get back to you.

I personally would really love a VR Driveclub game. I enjoyed Driveclub. It wasn’t the best driving game ever, and we did have to wait a long time for it to release, but it was still fun. I haven’t been blown away by what I’ve seen of Gran Turismo Sport, so for me this would be my next racing game choice. Assuming it launches outside of Japan.
