Yesterday saw the release of new details regarding the third piece of DLC for The Division. The expansion, titled “The Last Stand” will release alongside the new update 1.6.

“When the situation in the Dark Zone escalated, as the outbreak spiraled out of control and all semblance of civilization collapsed, the Joint Task Force was forced to withdraw from the area, leaving behind important tactical terminals; SHD tech data relays loaded with operational information. Now, Rogue agents are closing in on those relays and if they manage to get their hands on the information, it would be catastrophic for the SHD and the mission to save New York. It will be your job, together with a team of seven other Division agents, to stop that from happening.”

The DLC will introduce players to a new game mode known as The Last Stand. Players will be part of a team of eight Division agents (two groups of four) against 2 teams of four Rogue enemies as they attempt to capture tactical terminals. The first team to transfer enough of the data through will win the session. The Last Stand will also include more PvE activities including a new incursion.

The northern parts of the Dark Zone will also be unlocked and players can experience zones 7, 8 and 9 for the first time. “Conditions in these parts of the Dark Zone are especially bleak and will be filled with some of the most eerie environments and challenging NPCs in the game.”

Update 1.6 will expand the size of the game map, add new special Contamination event, new Exotic weapons and will also add a new Legendary mode. More info about 1.6 can be found on The Division’s forum. We currently have no release date for this DLC and update.
