Welcome to the Daily Bulletin for 23rd August! This article will sum up some of the news stories from today, and hopefully will help keep you up to date. We’ve got 3 interesting ones today so let’s crack on with it!
Lego Overwatch Collab Teased
The Lego Group have teased an Overwatch collaberation during Gamescom 2018. The teaser showed 6 outlined figures; Widowmaker, Reinhardt, Genji, Soldier 76, Mercy and McCree. Neither Lego nor Blizzard have commented on the teaser, but given that Blizzard have teamed with a toy company before it is highly possible.
SoulCaliber 6 To Get Day One DLC
Bandai Namco have revealed day one DLC for SoulCaliber 6. The DLC comes in the form of Tira, a fighter who has appeared in SoulCaliber 3, 4 and 5. The trailer suggests Tira has kept her fighting style from SoulCaliber 4 and 5 but this has not been confirmed. SoulCaliber 6 will also have a second story mode titled Libra of Souls. The campaign will allow you to create you own custom character that is one of 16 races. You then get to customise the character, everything from facial features to blood type. You can also choose their fighting style, armour and weapon which is nice in a fighting game. Libra of Souls will see you fighting an enemy determined to capture the Soul Edge Shards with characters from the first campaign will either help you or attempt to stop you. Should you get bored of the campaign your custom character can also fight in casual and online ranked matches.
Cyberpunk 2077 Is Playable Start To Finish
It has been in development for a long time, but CD Projekt Red have revealed that Cyberpunk 2077 is fully playable from start to finish. That doesn’t mean the game is ready to release, Projekt Red are still completing work on Cyberpunk 2077. The assets for the game are still being worked on, and bugs that were found during playtesting are being sorted. New concept art was revealed recently (as seen in a recent Daily Bulletin) which also seemed to include a teaser for fans to solve.
What did you guys think of today’s stories? Personally I don’t like the idea of day one DLC, so the idea of SoulCaliber 6 having it isn’t something I would look forward to. We’re seeing a fair bit of Cyberpunk news at the minute, I wouldn’t be surprised if we get a release date within the next few weeks (but I could be wrong).
