Bungie have filed a trademark named Rise Of Iron, seemingly confirming their next expansion.

The trademark which is for use in video game software, among other multimedia categories was filed by Bungie on May 31st. The full listing can be seen here on the United States Patent and Trademark Office website.

Bungie has not officially confirmed the expansion, although this would make sense if we are to believe the leaked Rise Of Iron title art above that surfaced in May. This information seems to support an earlier report in which Activision announced their plans to “bring a large new expansion to Destiny in 2016 and to release a full game sequel in 2017.”

Bungie’s website have also revealed plans to hold a reveal livestream at 10am PT this Thursday on June 9th giving players an insight on what to expect. More details of which as well as a link to the Twitch channel can be found here at ‘This week at Bungie,
