EA recently had a post-earnings conference call which revealed a lot of information. EA CEO Andrew Wilson announced what fans can look forward to in the future. FY19 refers to the year of April 2018 until March 2019.
“Through FY19 and beyond, our portfolio will continue to grow … There will be more new experiences for our Battlefield fans, our Star Wars action-adventure IP from Visceral will make its debut, and farther out, we’ll have a new Star Wars title from our partners at Respawn. We continue to invest deeply in new IP, including the new game from BioWare and another project from our Motive studio.”
It was in this same call that Wilson announced that Battlefront 2 will have three times as much content as it’s predecessor. Wilson stated that EA listened to the feedback from the Battlefront reboot, and took that advice on boad for the sequel. It is likely this is the reason the sequel has it’s own campaign.
Personally I feel it’s nice to see EA taking on the fan feedback from the Battlefront reboot and using it to improve the sequel. What do you think of this news? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below, or tweet us @games_bulletin!
