Allison Road, the first person survival horror described as the spiritual successor to P.T has been cancelled. The games official twitter posted the following tweet:
“Hi all. Sadly Allison Road had to be cancelled. Statement to come in the next few days. Thx for all your support and very sad it came 2 this”
This will come as sad news to a plethora of fans that were hoping that Allison Road would fill the void left by Kojima and PT. Allison Road originally started on Kickstarter but developer Lillith soon partnered up with the team behind the worms franchise, Team 17. As the tweet states, no reason has been given as to the cancellation as yet but Gamesbulletin will report as soon as more information is provided.
For those of you who are unfamiliar with Allison Road, the game is a first person survival horror with a minimalist story that is uncovered with investigation by the player. As you can see in the trailer below, it starts with an unnamed protagonist waking up, who we find out seemingly has amnesia, traversing his house in search of painkillers. It soon becomes clear by letters, clues and pictures that something horrific has happened to the family he once shared a home with. As the trailer progresses, the house gets creepier with messages appearing on the walls and blood leaking from pictures. The trailer ends with…..well….you’ll see if you decide to watch it.

Hopefully the reason for cancellation is something that can be worked on and perhaps it will be picked up again, but this is all speculation until more information is given.
