Vince Zampella, one of the founders of Infinity Ward has warned developers of the remastered Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, not to mess it up.
In an interview with Eurogamer, Zampella joked about a phone call he had with the developers of the remastered version:
“That’s my on the record response. I rang them up and said, honestly, don’t f*** it up. It’s a huge part of people’s gaming memories.”
Jason west and Vince Zampella founded infinity ward in the early 2000’s but were fired in 2010 and things got messy when they sued. All was eventually settled and the pair went on to form Respawn, the studio behind the Titanfall franchise, with West later leaving.
This interview comes from the news that Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare will come packaged with a remastered version of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare if you buy one of the premium versions, which start at £69.99/$79.99. The remaster will include the full campaign from the original as well as the multiplayer with 10 maps, all with updated visuals.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is often considered one of the best in the series and has been the benchmark for many online FPS since so fans expect the same experience as the first time around.
