Crash Bandicoot is back in the spotlight after so many years away and Activision have teased that we could see more of the popular orange marsupial.

The N. Sane Trilogy for PS4 was released last week and has had gamers caught in nostalgia-fuelled euphoria since and it seems this could lead to a new entry for the Crash Bandicoot series. Activision Publishing CEO Eric Hirshberg teased that they are “experimenting” with crash right now, when speaking to gl.biz.

Hirshberg said:

“We are experimenting with Crash. We know there’s a vocal fan base that wanted that to come back. But you never know if that is emblematic of a larger audience or just this niche, nostalgia-based community. So far, we are seeing some real passion for it, so that could lead to other things.”

This seems to hint that depending on the popularity of the remaster as a whole, we could see something new from the franchise. The N. Sane Trilogy is currently topping the charts in the UK and The Express are even reporting of stock shortages but only time will tell as to whether we will be jumping back into Crash’s shoes.
