In a blog post over on the Playstation blog, it was revealed that highly talked about space exploration game No Man’s Sky has finally received a release date. This was revealed amongst other news.

It was officially revealed that the game will be getting a physical release. This was announced alongside the news of a limited edition of the game. The limited edition is set to include:

  • a steelbook case for the game
  • 48 page art book
  • a comic book by Sean Murray, Dave Gibbons (co-creator of Watchmen and Kingsman), James Swallow (Mass Effect, Star Wars, Deus Ex writer) and famous sci-fi book cover artist Angus McKie to help expand the lore of the game
  • starter kit containing Photonix Core Ship Boost, weapons blueprints, bonus resource amongst other things

It was also revealed that preorders, both digital and physical, are currently being accepted. Fans were advised to check local retailers for pre-order bonuses. No Man’s Sky is set to release on June 21st (North America), June 22nd (Europe) and June 24th (UK) for Playstation 4 and PC.
