Reading Time: 2 minutes

Watchdogs was released two years ago and since the initial release, fans have become restless with thought of another game. With the mixed responses from the original game, the speculations of a sequel have been just that, speculation; Until now.  Ubisoft has released new information and updates for Watchdogs 2.

“Ubisoft finally confirmed the Watch Dogs sequel as they revealed that they’re planning on releasing Watch Dogs 2 during its next fiscal year. Since Ubisoft’s fiscal year runs from April to March of the next year, it is safe to assume that fans can expect Watch Dogs 2 to be released April 2016 at the earliest and March 2017 at the latest. IF there are no delays.” These are the predictions from Crossmap.

There have been rumors that the sequel will also be set in SanFransico, California. Kotaku also speculates we might not have to wait for 2017 before Watch Dogs 2 is released, because according to their sources Watch Dogs 2 will be released late 2016.

Ubisoft has listened to the negative and positive feedback from players of Watchdogs and hopes to make updates and changes accordingly to please fans. They plan to tackle the “flaws”.

PCAdvisor has quoted Ubisoft Vice President of Creative as saying, “There are flaws, obviously. We absolutely want to tackle these flaws and surprise players, and the way to tackle some of those flaws is going to be quite radical. There are parts of the game that will need to change,” he said. “This is quite a high ambition and will require us to develop technologies that we didn’t have for Watch Dogs 1, but this combined with fixing and refining what worked well is probably the way to go for Watch Dogs 2.”
