Io-Interactive, the team behind the upcoming HItman game, have announced the first three months worth of content in a press release.
The game starts with a Prolugue mission set in Paris set to release in March. The next mission, which is set to release in April, will be set in Italy with the following mission, which is set to release in May, will be set in Morocco. The game will then see monthly content released monthly with locations such as Thailand, the US and Japan. Japan will be the last location of the game which is set to finish late 2016.
We also have some news about the decision to release the content episodically. “We decided to take the full leap and publish HITMAN as a truly episodic game experience,”said Hannes Seifert, Head of Studio at Io-Interactive. “Part of that decision is for that little bit of extra time to ensure every location we release is at the quality level fitting for a HITMAN game. But the main driving reason is that this will allow us to create a living game that will expand and evolve over time and establish a foundation for the future – this is the first game in a storyline which will continue and expand with future Hitman games.”
The Intro Pack (which contains the Paris levels) will release at the price of $15 (or the local equivalent) with each following monthly content being added as a add-on to the Intro Pack for $10. Players can also buy the Full Experience for $60 from the get go. Should you buy the Intro Pack and decide you want to buy the entirety of the game without paying monthly payments you can upgrade with the Upgrade Pack for $50. Alternatively, the disc version of the game will launch in late 2016.
The first part of Hitman will launch March 11th for Playstation 4, Xbox One and PC.
