Final Fantasy 15 programmer Satoshi Kitade has given fans an update as to the game’s development progress. Posting in the forums for FF15, Kitade says the game has passed it’s pre-beta stage and is now focusing on polishing the game.

“We’re at the point where we can play the game in its entirety from start to finish,” Kitade said, as translated by Gematsu. “From this, everyone on the development team can get an overall view on the game.”

This means that the game is now essentially complete, but the development team are just performing tweaks ready for the game’s launch.

“The first half of the game is finished with the quality of a final product, and you get the sense you’re playing it in its final form,” Kitade added.

This has to be good news for Final Fantasy fans. All we know so far is that FF15 will launch in 2016 at some point for Xbox One and Playstation 4.
