News has emerged about the latest DLC to hit Star Wars Battlefront. The DLC is set in Bespin and features new multiplayer maps, a new vehicle, new mode, and heroes amongst other things. Everything available in the DLC is listed below, and the DLC’s announcement trailer.
The Bespin DLC will feature 5 multiplayer maps set in different locations such as the Administrator’s Palace and the Carbon-Freezing Chambers.
Two new heroes were announced; Lando Calrissian and the Bounty Hunter Dengar.
The cloud car is now a drivable vehicle.
There is a new game mode called Sabotage. This is a 16v16 mode with two stages. In stage one the Rebels must destroy three generators by setting up a charge on each one. The surprising part of this is that the Rebels will be playing with four heroes, while the Empire will have none. Should the Rebels succeed stage two will see them trying to secure an extraction point.
Two new blasters are available. There is the X8 Night Sniper.
“The X-8 Night Sniper is a blaster pistol with decent damage, cooling power, and range. It stands out due to its enhanced scope with heat vision, capable of revealing humanoids in most weather and times of day.”
There is also the EE4.
“The EE-4 was constructed with a short and stubby barrel to allow it to fire more effectively at a closer range with spread shots. Despite the reduction in accuracy at range, the weapon makes up for it with a greater rate of fire.”
There are three new star cards. The Scout Binoculars will help you scout out enemy troops and highlights them to your team. The Shock Grenade delivers a non-lethal electrical current in a radius leaving anyone caught in it incapable of moving. The Disruption star card can be used to knock out enemy blasters, turrets and droids.
The DLC will release June 21st for season pass holders while those without the pass can grab it two weeks laters.
Most of the people who I knew played this game have now stopped. Some have even traded the game in for another game. Are you guys still enjoying Star Wars Battlefront? What would you like to have seen included? Let us know in the comments.
