Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment have today revealed a new game in the Scribblenauts series. Scribblenauts Showdown builds on the series creative gameplay by introducing two new games modes, as well as the Scribblenauts classic Sandbox mode.
The Showdown mode sees up to four players facing off and winning with “card-based strategy and creative skill”. “Wordy” mini-games will require players to win by using the best object, or character, from the Scribblenauts universe in order to outsmart your opponent. “Speedy” mini-games will reward the player who completes the challenge in the fastest time. A map, in the style of a board game, will display players’ progress and there are “many ways to make up ground”, so there’s always a chance for a comeback.
Versus mode sees two players going head-to-head in more than 25 mini-games, which vary during each play session. This mode will reportedly allow for continuous fun by shuffling the mini-games the players play. These games can also be played solo.
Scribblenauts Showdown will release 9th March for PS4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch. Are you a fan of the series? The series is one I have always meant to play, but never got around to. Let me know what you think in the comments below, or tweet us @games_bulletin!
