Red Dead Redemption 2 To Allow In-Depth Weapon Customisation

Red Dead Redemption 2 is shaping up to be one hell of an experience. Rockstar are taking everything into consideration when it comes to crafting a world in which the player feels as if they are living in a Western. Previous press releases have revealed that things such as your clothes and the routes you travel determine how you interact with the world. and the NPCs in it. This time we are talking gun customisation.

When you think of The Wild West a few things spring to mind; shoot-outs in the middle of the street, horses, adding the world pilgrim onto the end of every other sentence, and guns. In The Wild West a cowboy is measured on their shooting ability, so it makes sense that Rockstar are taking this element very seriously.

RDR2’s site boasts that the game has over 50 guns available. Each of these is customisable, with the player being able to improve things such as accuracy, range or damage by changing the type of ammunition they use. Weapons will perform better the more they are used, but they will also start to degrade as time passes so make sure to look after them.

In terms of customisation, the options seem huge. As well as stat changing customisation, there are also visual customisations such as metals, woods, varnishes and engravings to allow you getting your weapon exactly how you want it. Top that off with things like new barrels, grips, sights and scopes and you can get your perfect weapon.
