Independent developer and publisher Rebellion have confirmed in a press release that they have acquired UK developer Radiant Worlds. The studio was founded in 2013 by 3 gaming veterans; Andrew Oliver, Philip Oliver and Richard Smithies. Radiant Worlds had a team of 70 people, who will lend their decades of game developing experience to Rebellion.
Rebellion was purchased for an undisclosed sum, and will become Rebellion Warwick, and will join Rebellion Liverpool as sister studio to the Rebellion HQ in Oxford. Rebellion Warwick will immediately jump into some of Rebellion’s current projects such as Strange Brigade, and will also contribute to other Rebellion games in the future such as the Sniper Elite series.
Rebellion CEO and co-founder Jason Kingsley OBE. said
“To bring such great people to the company, just after our 25th birthday, is quite remarkable. It’s been a great year for us and we have a lot of plans to help make 2018, 2019 and beyond bigger and even greater years for Rebellion.”
