Rainbow Six Siege is getting a new version on the PC in the form of a starter edition. Ubisoft have announced that this edition will be cheaper than the full price game but will work a bit differently in terms of content. The £10.29/$15 Steam/Uplay game comes with all of the modes, maps, weapons, and features from the standard edition; however, players will get fewer operators to start with.
Players will get instant access to a pair of characters randomly selected from the following: Rook, Sledge, Ash, Fuze, Mute, and Smoke. Players will also get 600 R6 credits which can be spent to acquire 2 of the other operators at a cost of 300 R6 credits each. The credits can also be spent to other in game content. By earning 12500 renown, players can also buy additional operators which is a lot higher than the 500-2200 renown needed for players with the standard edition.
There is no time limit on gameplay once purchased, but it will only be available until June 19th.
