Physical sales for Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare have dropped compared to it’s predecessor Black Ops III. Cowen analyst Doug Creutz revealed the figure in a note to investors.
“Infinite Warfare units came in 17 percent shy of our expectations, down close to 50 percent [year-over-year],”
However, this is not the end of the story. Activision will not lose all of their money they put into the game. In fact the digital sales and special editions were doing well, with the special additions of the game coming with Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered. This game was the beginning of many FPS gamers today, and was sure to be an essential for hardcore fans. It will be interesting to what Activision take from these figures. It will be interesting to see what Activision and other Call Of Duty Devs will do in the future.
