During a live stream in Japan, Capcom have released a new trailer for Monster Hunter: World as well as announcing more details about the upcoming monster-slaying epic. The new trailer demonstrates some of the series staples, Elder Dragons, showing both new arrivals and returning favourites.
The trailer above shows 3 of the Dragons that Hunters can expect to face in Monster Hunter: World. Kushala Daora is a steel Dragon with a body covered in metal plates and the ability to create wind storms to keep hunters at bay. Teostra is a fire-breathing beast that will use intense heat to force Hunters into submission and Dodogama is a rock-eating wyvern that possess a unique saliva with the ability to make rocks explosive!
Also confirmed in the live stream is a final beta planned for PS4 users that will run from January 18th to January 22nd, ahead of the games final release on January 26th. In addition to the previously released Great Jagras, Anjanath and Barroth quests, players will now be able to battle against the game’s flagship monster, Nergigante.
Finally, Capcom have confirmed that there are plans to release regular content for Monster Hunter: World post-launch, with major title updates being available for free. The first major update is planned for Spring 2018 and will include the monster Deviljho, a fan-favourite.
