New Amiibo Figures Are On The Way With Super Smash Bros. Ultimate

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is boasting the biggest ever roster of characters and with it will be a host of new Amiibos.

The new Amiibos already announced include Samus’ arch-nemesis Ridley, Daisy and the new Inkling but rumour has it, they are not the only ones!

According to the Japanese Nintendo site (via Nintendo Everything), the company are planning more Amiibos to join the already extensive collection. So far, Pichu from Pokemon and the Ice Climbers have been named, but it is unlikely that it they will stop there.

No word has been said how many Amiibo will be released but with a staggering roster of 66 confirmed characters, and maybe more to come, it is unlikely that everyone will be immortalised in plastic. Many of the game’s popular characters already have Amiibos from previous titles so it may be that the focus is on those who don’t, but only time will tell.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is said to feature every character to ever appear in a Smash Bros. game, even if they were added later as DLC which is a pretty impressive accomplishment. This will include Nintendo heavyweights such as Mario, Donkey Kong and Link as well as some more obscure characters and third-party additions such as Bayonetta and Solid Snake.

Will you be adding to your collection of Amiibos with Super Smash Bros. Ultimate or has the craze for toys-to-life come to an end. Let us know in the comments section below or drop us a Tweet!
