An update is now live for Gwent: The Witcher Card Game, offering a plethora of new cards and challenges.
The update, dubbed Midwinter, will add more than 100 new cards to the mix, many of which offer new gameplay mechanics and abilities to help turn the tide of battle. The update also introduces the Midwinter Hunt, a story-driven challenge starring everyone’s favourite grumpy Witcher, Geralt of Rivia. The Midwinter Hunt offers a new set of challenges for players with unique rewards including a themed avatar, frame and title.
The update will introduce a new gameplay feature in the form of a daily quest system as well as revamping a range of current features such as a new deck builder and card replacement screen and improved visuals.
For those who missed the popular spin-off, Gwent is based on the card based mini game from CD Projekt RED’s epic, The Witcher 3. The game is currently in beta but will be released fully sometime in 2018.
The current version is available now as a free download for PS4, Xbox One and PC.
