Metroid II: Samus Returns Gets Cool As Fudge European Special Edition

Nintendo has released a picture of its European, special edition of Metroid II: Samus Returns, and it’s flipping beautiful. The American version of the ‘Legacy Edition’ comes with a nice little soundtrack CD, woo hoo, but the European version is something else. It comes with a badge, an art book, and more. Did I mention it comes in a SteelBook case that looks like a GameBoy cartridge? Told you it was cool as fudge. Seriously, look at this thing.

Nintendo had this to say.

“While supplies last, fans will also be able to purchase the Legacy Edition of the game which includes a physical version of the game, a Metroid II: Samus Returns download code for Nintendo 3DS, an old-style SteelBook, the Samus Archive sound-selection CD featuring 25 tracks from across the Metroid series, a gold ‘S’ Mark pin, a Morph Ball 3D keyring and a 40-page artbook,”

Releasing on September 15th for 3DS Metroid II: Samus Returns is a ‘reimagining’ of the original, Metroid II: Return of Samus, that will have improved visuals, a new range of motion allowing you to aim in any direction, and new abilities. There is not yet a price for the Legacy Edition.

Is this something that catches your eye? What’s the most you’d be willing to pay for something of this level of cool? Let us know in the comments below or hit us up on Twitter, just stay out of the DMs you deviants.
