Recently For Honor PC users received a successful rollout of dedicated servers for the game, and it seems that console players could be next. Console players are set to receive maintenance from today at 2pm (UK time), after which the game’s servers will transition to dedicated servers. The introduction of these dedicated servers will reportedly improve matchmaking and increase the overall online stability of the game, giving players a smoother experience.
The recent implementation for PC players saw several improvements to the online experience including:
- Resyncs and host migrations during games have been entirely eliminated
- Match completion rates on PvP modes have improved overall
- Major fixes have already been implemented on the PC side following the launch to improve the experience on servers. Console players will benefit from these improvements from day one
This server update comes as part of For Honor’s 5th Season, which focuses on; the core player experience, major Hero and fighter updates, a 3 week special event and training modes later in the season.
