Ghostbusters PSVR Game Appears From Nowhere

A Ghostbusters PSVR game has unexpectedly dropped on the US PlayStation Store. Called Ghostbusters: Now Hiring, the game is an episodic release that tasks the player with being a new recruit in the ghost hunting team. Jake Zim, senior Vice President of VR at Sony Pictures told io9 that the plan was “put out Chapter 1, [see] if people like it and see what they want, then we can add Chapter 2 and keep going”.

Ivan Reitman, co-creator of the franchise and director of the original 1984 movie, was reportedly heavily involved in the VR title and even suggested that the player’s guide be the Ghostbusters’ ghost seen in the logo. The first episode is called Firehouse, and is available on the US PlayStation Store for $7. Unfortunately no word of a UK release yet.

Are you excited for Ghostbusters VR? The idea seems cool and seems like a good use of VR to me! Let me know your thoughts in the comments below, or tweet me your thoughts @bulletin_ben.
