In a press release today ESL announced that the Spring Finals for the CS:GO ESL Premiership in mid April. The Premiership, which is now in its seventh season, will have it’s final take place on 14-15 April at ESL UK’s Studio 1 in Leicester. The league, which now features 10 teams as opposed to the previous 8 teams, is offering a £13,000 prize pool as well as a slot in the European Mountain Dew League. Ten teams competed in the group stage of the Premiership, with matches being broadcast on Monday and Wednesday evenings. Play-offs will take place on the 26th and 28th March, and 2nd April.
James Dean, UK managing director at ESL, had this to say:
“We can’t wait to host the finals of the 2018 Counter Strike: Global Offensive Spring Premiership. The Premiership is really the peak of grassroots Counter Strike in the UK, so this will be a superb competition! We’re very proud to support our UK teams and, through our partnership with Mountain Dew League, to provide them with a direct path to develop into world-class players.”
