Daily Bulletin – 23rd August 2018

Welcome to the Daily Bulletin for 23rd August! This article will sum up some of the news stories from today, and hopefully will help keep you up to date. We’ve got 3 quick ones to get through so let’s jump into it!

Strange Brigade To Get A Free Character With Pre-Order/Early Purchase

Rebellion today revealed that Strange Brigade will be receiving a free fifth character when the game launches. The character was revealed at the end of the launch trailer which released today. The character is a male explorer by the name of Winston Bey and is free to all who pre-order Strange Brigade or buy the game within it’s first 30 days. The game is set to release August 28th on PS4, Xbox One and PC.

Reigns To Get A Game Of Thrones Game

Swiping card game Reigns is set to get a new instalment. Working with HBO, Devolver Digital have created a game that is said to extend past the hit series. Players have a selection of characters they can choose to rule as including Jon Snow, Cersei Lannister, Sansa Stark and more. The game explores possible futures for each character, as seen through the eyes of the Red Priestess. If you haven’t played Reigns before, I do suggest it. It’s a strangely addictive game, however the swiping can get a bit tedious so you may move away from it from time to time. Available for pre-order now, releasing in October some time and costing just $3.99 you can’t really knock it.

Our Lord And Saviour Cthulu Blesses Us With A Gameplay Trailer

Call of Cthulu has finally released a gameplay trailer! The trailer follows Edward Pierce’s investigations within Hawkins Mansion. The trailer showcases the early stages of Pierce’s investigation which will see him finding clues, interrogating locals and solving crime scenes in an effort to understand the tragic deaths of the Hawkins family. Call of Cthulu is set to release 30th October on PS4, Xbox One and PC.

What did you guys think of today’s stories? I’ve been waiting for a Call of Cthulu update, and this one has me looking forward to the game. Strange Brigade also looks good, and a Game of Thrones Reigns game is a great idea! Let us know your thoughts in the comments below, or tweet us @games_bulletin!
