Daily Bulletin – 19th August 2018

Welcome to the Daily Bulletin for August 19th! This article will sum up some of the news stories from today, and hopefully will help keep you up to date.

Forza Horizon 2 To Reach “End Of Life”

On the Forza Motorsport website it has been revealed that Forza Horizon 2 will reach “end of life” status on September 30th. What this means is that the game, and it’s DLC, will no longer be available to purchase. After September 30th, those of you who own the game will still be able to re-download and play the game, however there was no mention of whether or not the game’s servers would be coming down. The game is currently part of Games With Gold so if you haven’t played it it seems now is the perfect time to grab it.

Cliff Bleszinski Is Writing A Book

The book will be about Bleszinski’s time in the video game industry. He shared an excerpt of one chapter on Twitter, saying in the chapter that he hadn’t done any interviews since “Boss Key imploded”. Boss Key was Bleszinki’s studio, which he founded after leaving Epic Games. The book will apparently cover the death of his father and the ending of his first marriage, amongst other things. If you want to get an insight into the world of video game development, or get to know more about Bleszinski, it seems this would be your chance.

Far Cry 5 Zombie Mode Gets A New Trailer

Far Cry 5’s zombie mode officially has a release date, as well as a new trailer. The mode will launch August 28th, and is part of the game’s Season Pass (of course), or costs $7 on its own. The mode is set across seven different film scenarios, which are set in different maps using the game’s Arcade Editor tools. Upon completing each map you’ll get a score. Get 3 stars and you’ll get weapons and gear you can use in the main game. The trailer is available below.
