Hacker Group Hack Linux Onto PS4

Hacker group Fail0verflow has shown the world what appears the world’s first hack of a PS4.

The group wrote a custom version of the Linux operating system, and after bypassing the PlayStation’s security successfully installed the operating system onto the Playstation.

Pokemon Playstation Version appears to be a modded version of Pokemon Emerald.

A video demonstration by the group shows the hack being successful, and running what is called Pokemon Playstation Version, which appears to be a version of Pokemon Emerald modded to run on the PS4.

The group are quoted as saying that “The Marvell engineers who designed the southbridge were smoking some really good stuff.”. However, understandably, some corporations worry this will cause a surge of pirated games.

Either the Linux software is available on the Fail0verflow website, with the video demonstration available below.
