The Division Will Not Have Player Trading At Launch

Unfortunately, The Division will not have a player trading system at launch. Associate creative director Julian Gerighty explained to GamesRadar why the feature won’t make it into the game for its debut in March.

“It’s the reality of production. Some features make it, some features don’t,” he said, adding that the decision came down to a “priority of different features.” Gerighty did give us some hope that we may see the feature in a future update. The Division is an ever- evolving game and some features that don’t make it at launch could possibly show up in the future, including sections of Brooklyn and a companion app.

The Division’s closed Beta is scheduled to begin on January 28th for the Xbox One for players who have preordered the game. PC and PS4 will have access the following day, all gamers with access can play until January 31st. the game will be available across the PS, PS4, and Xbox One on March 8th.
